On 9 June 2026, the NGO “Luhansk Regional Association of Veterans and Defenders of Ukraine” was registered. The organisation was created to protect the rights and legal interests of veterans, defenders of Ukraine and their family members, and to unite the efforts of civil society, specialists and partners.
Its main areas of work include treatment and rehabilitation, psychological and legal support, employment, professional adaptation, veteran entrepreneurship, housing issues, support for families of the fallen and missing, adaptive sports, assistance with statuses, benefits and documents, and support for veteran IDPs.
